Play Area |

Everybody gets an hour or more a day where they can run supervised on the floor. But in the meantime,
they play in what I call the "Top Cage Setup." This setup spans almost from wall to wall, about 15 feet.
I originally set this up for the babies that were too small yet to run loose on the floor but it has become a favorite for the adults as well. They can climb in or out of their cages at will. There are 2 cages on top of my dresser. I've placed a long sheet of cardboard on top, then I lay down throw rugs that I buy from a dollar store. A 3rd cage has just a throw rug on top and is connected to the first 2 cages with a ladder. Then, my entertainment center has another rug across it. I mostly arrange this setup with a ferret ball, PVC pipe, ferret tunnels, baskets, plastic kid's pedestals (also from the dollar store), a cat scratching post, and many cardboard houses that have to be replaced every once in a while. I try to add different things at different times. |
